Summary Job Description: Switch Engineer

Technical skills:

    • Experience in wireless telecom (Cellular/PCS) field is essential
    • Experience in Testing, Commissioning, and Integration of MSC/BSC (preferably ERCISSON)
    • SS7 concepts (method of transport and troubleshooting)
    • Able to follow established procedures and resolve any site issues
    • Able to plan, organize, direct and provide technical assistance to multiple projects
    • Able to plan, organize, direct and provide technical assistance to multiple projects
    • Proficiency in UNIX operating system
    • Able to complete assignments without supervision

Tools/software:

    • Microsoft Suite (Word, excel, Project)
    • UNIX
    • Winfoil
    • T-Bird, Sunset, Firebird T1/T3 test sets
    • SS7 Protocol Analyzers
